DESCRIPTION:York Schools Choral Festival is back…bigger and bolder tha
 n ever before. Over the\npast 14 years\, the festival has grown from str
 ength to strength\, so it is no surprise\nthat the dedication and commit
 ment from founders Molly Newton and Buffy\nBreakwell has paved the way t
 o continue with the four day festival in 2026. We’re forever grateful
  for Molly and Buffy’s\ninsight\, imagination and musicianship as we h
 ead towards what promises to be\nanother successful Choral Festival with
  some 800 children expected to create life-\nlong memories.\n\nEach day 
 starts with a whole festival warm up which moves quickly into workshops\
 nfor each school and guided rehearsals from professional musicians. An a
 fternoon\nperformance then showcases each school’s achievements with a
  prepared piece\nand ends with a combined choir performance to parents a
 nd carers of these amazing\nchildren.
