‘Moving Online - Virtual Instrumental Tuition’ with Ian Bousfield

During lockdown, Ian has been doing much of his teaching on line and is offering to share his experiences. Join him for an informal chat regarding his discoveries and thoughts on how we as teachers can move forward from here. Feel free to share your own learning. Pull up a chair, make a cup of tea or pour a glass of something relaxing. This is a free, online CPD session for all peripatetic teachers in York, offered by the York Music Hub. This session is private and exclusive to teachers from York.

Now living in Switzerland, Ian is an international soloist and conductor who was born and brought up in York, where he started on his musical career with the York Music Service and having been a member of the London Symphony, Vienna Philharmonic he now has a Professorship in Bern. He agreed to become our Patron shortly after performing as the soloist with the Guildhall Orchestra at a concert in the Barbican, where, in between pieces, he delivered an impassioned speech about the importance of the arts in general, and music education in particular.
