Help us to support more young children with music in York

Your support could make all the difference for a young person who is passionate about music and wants to learn to sing, or play an instrument and become good enough to join a choir or play in a band.

Any support you are able to provide will go directly to those most in need, and the organisations that support and inspire them.

How can you help?

Every penny that you donate goes directly into providing more opportunities for young people in York. Below are a few examples of how we use your donations and how you can help sustain the cities fantastic music provision well into the future:

  • The instrumental bursary schemes for young people and their families who are experiencing financial hardship
  • The singing strategy and the choral festival which aim to find a way of getting every young person in the city singing
  • Supporting the partner project fund as we work with providers in York to deliver affordable opportunities for children and young people
  • The cost of taking a music exam, which can provide further academic possibilities such as UCAS points.

How can you help?

Become a Bronze friend for £24 or £2 per month

As a friend of York Music Hub you will be supporting the wide range of opportunities we provide.

Become a Silver friend for £96 or £8 per month

If you make a more substantial donation we will be able to commission more projects and events, and provide more opportunities for our young people. 

Becoming a silver friend entitles you to a free ticket to any YMH organised event

Become a Gold friend for £180 or £15 per month

This highly generous option will contribute towards the cost of a child’s music lessons for a year. 

Becoming a gold friend entitles you to free tickets to all YMH organised events.
